Parfait is a French word that means “perfect”. This recipe containing oats, fruits, almonds and milk is a perfect breakfast as it will provide you the essential nutrients and energy to kick start your day.

2 tablespoons regular rolled oats
1 cup milk
1 cup chopped fruits - apple, banana, strawberries
1 tablespoon raisins
1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence
Take 6-8 almonds in a bowl, add water and soak them overnight. Peel and chop them before adding them to the oats parfait.
Take oats in a saucepan and pour in the milk. Bring to a boil and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla essence and mix well. Keep stirring from time to time so that the oats don't stick at the bottom of the pan. Take the oats porridge out in a bowl and keep aside to let it cool slightly.
Place about two tablespoons of oats porridge at the bottom of a mason jar or a glass. Top it with about two tablespoons of chopped fruits, half a tablespoon of chopped almonds and half a tablespoon of raisins.
Repeat the layers, then top with a strawberry for garnish.
